2016 Season Wrap-Up

Tallahassee Trailblazers Track & Field Club blaze trails at the 2016 AAU National Jr. Olympic Games in Houston, TX

The 2016 AAU National Jr. Olympic Games were held last week in Houston (Humble), Texas (July 30th - August 6th) and the Tallahassee Trailblazers track & field club represented the state of Florida and the city of Tallahassee quite well.

Galen Johnson - 13 Year Old Boys was a main highlight at the event maintaining his status as #1 in both the 100m & 200m dashes through quarter finals and semi finals to win both in the Finals! [100m (11.34) and 200m (23.11), both PRs.]

These are Tallahassee Trailblazers' TOP "8" MEDALISTS from the week-long events at the 2016 AAU Jr. Olympics Track & Field.

MILESTONES: Not all Trailblazers medaled in the top "8" in Houston but there were plenty of "PRs" (personal records) - see below.

Niya Coleman - 11 Yr Old Girls - 800m Run - 2.40:39 (moved in rank from 44th to 25th) / 1500m Run - 5.38:61 (moved from 35th to 24th)

Megan Henry - 12 Yr Old Girls - Discus Throw - 58-08 (moved from 32nd to 28th) / Shot Put - 28-05 (moved from 37th to 25th)

Tonie Morgan - 12 Yr Old Girls - High Jump - 4-05 (moved from 29th to 12th)

Camden Flowers - 12 Yr Old Boys - 80m Hurdles - 14.94 (moved from 44th to 35th)

Amarie Moore - 13 Yr Old Boys - 100m Dash - 12.58 / 400m Dash - 54.99 (moved from 21st to 20th)

Rajauhn Sancho - 13 Yr Old Boys - 400m Dash - 56.99 (moved from 53rd to 41st)

10 Yr Old Boys 4x100m Relay (Lance Ware, Benjamin Henry, Azaan Jackson, Kameron Hightower) - 57.94 (moved from 29th to 26th)

14 Yr Old Boys 4x100m Relay (Amarie Moore, Rajauhn Sancho, Jahaz Morgan, Galen Johnson) - 46.69 (moved from 25th to 16th)
